This programme is awarded to those students who belong to the selected countries for full-time master’s level studies in Sweden.It will be started in the Autumn semester 2018.

Scholarships’ number:About 180 scholarships will be available.
1st Category: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burkina-Faso, Cambodia, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mozambique, Myanmar (Burma), Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
2nd Category: Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia, Iran and Vietnam
3rd Category: Candidates with citizenships from countries on the DAC list of ODA recipients other than the above mentioned and those countries included in other SI scholarship programmes
Special Initiative: South Africa
Scholarship value and duration:
The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses of SEK 9,000 per month, insurance, and a one-time travel grant of SEK 15,000.And it is noted that there is no special grant for the family members.This scholarship is given for full-time one-year or two-year master’s programmes.The scholarship is awarded for one academic year at a time which is based on 2 semesters.
Eligibility for scholarship:
An applicant must be from an eligible country and he/she has 3,000 hours(At least) of experience from full-time/part-time employment, voluntary work, paid/unpaid internship, and/or position of trust.You must be paid tuition fees to the universities.You can read more about the eligibility criteria at the official website.
Instructions for application:
You can start by applying for up to four master’s programmes at universityadmissions.se,from 16 October 2017 to 15 January 2018.
After that you can apply for an SI scholarship between 2 to 9 February 2018.
